BlogsNew FEHA Regulations
April 5, 2016, by Matt Hanson
Effective April 1, 2016, there are a two new regulations under California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA). Here are the action items necessary:
- “Your Rights and Obligations as a Pregnant Employee” (PDL) (DFEH-100-20) This is a posting requirement. This notice replaces the former Notice. For our clients that we supply Labor Law Posters to, we will be providing them with the “Peel ‘N Post” update once the Spanish version is available.
- New regulations under FEHA require covered employers (5+ employees) to have a harassment, discrimination, and retaliation prevention policy that is in writing and lists all current protected categories under FEHA. The new guidance expands the list under protected categories and expands required topics that must be included in the mandated training.
